SHOOZE was established in 1986 when Joann Emanski and her business partner, Cathy, sought to bring unique, cutting-edge shoes to the area from the city. After making a name for herself & using her eye for quality pieces, Joann expanded SHOOZE to include women's contemporary clothing & accessories. 

Since opening the original Kingston Corners location, SHOOZE most recently opened its Market Street location in Kingston in 2016. Around that time, Joann was ready to pass the torch, and Tara Mugford Wilson became the owner of SHOOZE in 2019. 

With help from store manager Elaine Kennedy, Tara expanded the store's repertoire - this time including men's clothing, shoes, and accessories. Just after adding menswear to the store, SHOOZE experienced a new challenge - COVID19. The lockdown allowed Tara and Elaine to build up their online store and began selling merchandise on their website to a loyal customer base along with new customers across the country. 

Since taking ownership, Tara has continued the important legacy SHOOZE carries throughout the community. In-store and online, you will find only high-quality pieces sourced from brands in the USA and abroad, with a commitment to integrity and craftsmanship.

Tara prides herself on carrying a variety of products, to which she has a personal connection, for women of all ages. Each brand has a story and a specialty that you won't find anywhere else in the area.
